Met Wilson in Basic training 4th Platoon. The best platoon. Cool kid. We had a great time in BCT although we got our buns kicked daily. Can’t believe we are having to say goodbye. Love and safe travels on you soulful journey battle. 

Damian , I am really at a loss for words right now , but I want you to know that not a day will ever go by that somehow in someway I will keep you alive in my heart . God did not make you my son by blood but you and your brother will always be my special bonus sons . I will cherish the many nights , up all night watching you , Anthony, Larry playing some kind of game . I will cherish the time out back of the house having a bonfire with all the other brothers that love you also . I needed closer and I got it yesterday when I saw you at peace and out of pain . I what you to know that one private talk you and I had meant a lot to me and forever I promise you I will hold your words dear to me . I understood you and you understood me and it meant a lot .      I have so many memories of you that I will cherish forever. When I would pick you and your brother up from day care you would patiently wait for your brother to fall asleep during the ride. Then all of a sudden you would start talking about things from bugs to what you had for lunch. I still have a hard time believing that you’re gone. You were always the little brother that I wanted. You brought so much joy to everyone that you crossed paths with and I’m forever grateful that we crossed paths. I remember when me and Gabi were trying for a baby and we set up a Gofund Me page.....you were the only one to donate. We always supported each other no matter.      First and foremost- I love you. Thank you for bringing such sweetness to my life. It was an honor to have you come visit me and Brian. I loved how you were so brave to try new things; all for a quarter!! You were always brave!! June 2012 the year that I met you. The year our lives changed forever. Even though we weren’t the closest in basic,our friendship grew over the years keeping in contact thru text and fb messanger. My favorite memories of you will always be seeing you be the free goofy man that you were and will forever be. I loved your energy bro. I appreciate the love you showed too me even helping support my brand. You don’t know how much that meant too me and I wish I would have expressed my gratitude even more. You may not know but you were one of the ppl I planned on coming back and extending a hand too once I made it big lol. Wish I would have told you. Regardless that extension will be passed down too your son. I appreciate the courage that it took for you too understand what you did and take a stand on it. Damian, you were such a gift to our family and being your aunt will forever be one of the greatest joys of my life. I have so many happy memories of you that I will cherish forever, like the first time I changed your diaper and you "christened" me or the time I took you to the zoo and you enthusiastically pointed out the animal poop in every enclosure. The last time I saw my sweet nephew Damian was right before he left for Iraq. He was sure he had to go to support his family and beloved son DJ. I asked him if I could pray for him and he let me pray for him. I was shocked! I know he did because he loved me. That was who he was someone who loved others so much and would do anything to make someone else smile. You will always be our hero. The boys look up to you and we will all miss you. To my sister you have always been the most courageous mother even when I know you must have wanted to quit. Damian got his work ethic from you! Not only that so much more too. I’m sorry for your pain and I will forever hold you in my prayers. I am certain God is crying and is holding us now. I love you. 

I knew you as Wilson as we met in Camp Humphreys, South Korea. I got staioned there before you but got to know you throughout my time there. I dont have as many memories of us but you were always cracking a joke. Had a contagious smile and laugh. I swear you were always smiling. I just messaged with you a couple months ago and im glad we got to talk. Til Valhalla brother! Sure hope you get to share a couple of your stories with my brother on the other side... 

Damian was my student for several years.  He was soft spoken and kind and his smile could light up a room.  After years passed, he would come to visit the school and his previous teachers.  I remember him coming to the playground one day when I was out with my class.  As this young man approached, I began to cry as I recognized him- there was Damian, with Alana and DJ.  He was so proud of his boy.  I felt silly crying but I was overwhelmed knowing the service Damian  was providing his country,  the family he was loving, and that the boy I knew had grown to this remarkable man.  Damian- you, your family and friends are in my heart. 

I am thankful I have memories from Korea to fort Stewart. It’s hard to accept and it’s hard to not think of you throughout my day. The hardest part is not seeing that wide smile, hearing your jokes and your FB post on anything and everything. We all miss and love you! Give my granny a kiss for me....rest in paradise my friend!

I was so lucky to have met you Damian. I remember showing up in Korea with you and we had no idea what to do and it was freezing! But we did almost everything together while there and made sure each other were always alright. You were always the brightest person in the room and could always make someone laugh. I love you bro. 
You made a huge impact on everyone you met and I love you Man, you will always be a part of me.

As my roommate in Iraq during our contracting days, we’d roast each other about anything and everything because that’s what we did to keep out laughter up. Especially when it came to the gym or gaming. Every gym session was a competition on who gained more strength and that person had bragging rights for the day lol  I’ll never forget the way you’d also trip on your own foot out of nowhere and you would immediately make fun of my hair or beard for looking like a bum haha. We have talked a bit and you vented to me a few times and we pushed through the hard times as best as we could out here. I miss you man. Our jokes, talks, vents, roasts, memories will always be with me.  Rest Easy homie.

One of the best friends you can have. Its hurts me to death that he's gone. Battle buddy, loving father, and even better friend, his legacy will never be forgotten. I love ya and I miss ya lil bro.

Words can’t express how deeply sorry I am for the loss of Damian. I’ve always had that little boy in the fireman’s helmet or the “bumble bee” outfit as my favorite memory from the NFA daycare center! His smile lit up the room everyday I was with him! It’s been an honor navigating motherhood with you for the 26 years you and I have known each other. I am here for anything you need at all. May your first baby Rest In Peace. Love you girl! 

Even though we met thru basic training from the 1st time we spoke we clicked we literally where standing right in front each other being forced to shower and I felt his hand awkwardly behind me because our Drill Sargent has us all naked and I told him before I even could turn around please god let that be your hand and I didn’t even know who he was but when I turned around he was smiling from ear to ear and giggling and from that moment I knew me and him would be great friends even thought we shared many good laughs together I can honestly say I will never forget that moment at the second I knew he was my brother and I wasn’t alone.
