Celina Daniela Kaminski

Celina Daniela Kaminski, 92, of New Britain, passed away at her home on December 30, 2022 with her loving family by her side. Daughter of the late Stanislaw and Genowefa Mysiolowski, Celina was born in Ostrow Mazowiecka, Poland on May 11, 1930 and moved to Connecticut in 1975 where she resided for the rest of her life. She was predeceased by her sisters Halina, Krystyna, Jadwiga and Wiesia and her brother Stefan, all of Poland.

She worked for many years at the Hartford Hospital, retiring in 1994. In retirement she enjoyed many years of traveling with other seniors, visiting gardens and parks, attending church services and “people watching” from her porch on Broad Street. Fiercely independent, she lived on her own until dementia limited her when she was 88 years old. She continued to enjoy sweets and tea and amusing her great grandchildren with the silly sense of humor she possessed throughout her life with a special ability to make little Joshua laugh.

She leaves behind her loving daughters Alina Konferowicz and her husband Wojciech of Kensington and Elizabeth Kelliher and her husband John of Suffield. She will be missed by her five grandchildren; Olga Konferowicz Rivera and husband Adam of Farmington, Emil Konferowicz of Kensington, Martin Konferowicz of Simsbury, Margaret (Gosi) Kelliher and fiancé Nick Ruggieri of Brooklyn NY and Daniela Kelliher of Brighton MA as well as three beloved great grandchildren - James Rivera, Alexandra Celina Rivera and Joshua Rivera of Farmington.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Sacred Heart Church, Broad Street, New Britain at 9:30am. Friends and family are invited to call upon Celina’s family on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at New Britain Memorial & Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain from 5:00-7:00pm as well as Friday morning from 8:30-9:00am. Interment services will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Burritt Street, New Britain.
