Catherine M. Lobo

Catherine M. (Wade) Lobo, 96, widow of Joseph M. Lobo since 1997, of New Britain, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at the UConn Medical Center after a brief illness. Catherine was born on Aug. 8, 1915 in New York City and was the daughter to the late Mary (Olech) Wade and her stepfather Joseph Wade. She graduated from Flushing Hospital School of Nursing, NYC, had been employed by Bellevue Hospital as an R.N. and was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church. Catherine will be most remembered for her strong will and her love for her family.

Catherine is survived and will be dearly missed by her children: three sons, Dennis Lobo of Simsbury, Mark Lobo and his wife Pamela of Harwinton and Joseph Lobo and his wife Lisa of Bristol, a daughter; Linda Domizio and her fiance Warren Kimball of Boyleston, MA, a brother; Robert Wade of NJ, her nine grandchildren: Jason, Rachel, Rebecca, Jeremy, Amanda, Melissa, Robert, Courtney and Chad, her precious eleven great granchildren; Luke, Jared, Mark, Brayden, Kaelin, Chase, Caleb, Siobhan, Maeve, Thomas and Rose and many nieces and nephews. Catherine was also predeceased by her daughter in law; Ruth Ann and brothers; Walter, William and Joseph.

Funeral services will begin Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 9:00am from the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by the funeral liturgy at 10am in St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
