Antoni Duda 77 years old, Passed unexpectedly in his home in Port St Lucie Florida on May 5, 2016. Born April 20, 1939 in Poland to Antoni and Wladyslawa Duda. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Stefania (Zielinska) Duda that he has been married to for the last 56 years. In 1974, Antoni and his family immigrated to the United States in hopes for a prosperous opportunity. He was a hard worker and worked at Jacobs Manufacturing Company for over 25 years. Majority of his life he lived in New Britain and Plainville area, until the last 13 years where he moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida to enjoy his retirement. He was a devoted husband who loved spending time with his wife and family. He was a family man and was very proud of all his grandchildren and couldn’t stop talking about his two great grandchildren. He had a passion for gardening and always had to make sure his plants, trees and bushes were growing appropriately year round. He also enjoyed playing and cuddling with his dog, Pikus.
He is survived by his children: Marianna Kaminski and her husband Roman, Janusz Duda and his wife Alina, Slawomir Duda and his wife Patricia, Grazyna Czyzewski and her husband Andrzej. His grandchildren: Jessica Kaminski and her husband David, Christine Kaminski and her husband Kirill, Monika Duda and her husband Tomasz, Aneta Czyzewski, Marlena Duda, Steven Duda, and Emily Duda. His two great grandchildren: Amelia Duda and Preston Blonshteyn. He also has a surviving brother in Poland, Kazimierz Duda with his family and many nieces and nephews both in Poland and in the United States that loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his parents Antoni and Wladyslawa Duda and his siblings, Teresa Pieloch, Eugeniusz Duda and Marian Duda all of Poland.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St. New Britain. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Monday, May 9, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain, Directions: Exit 37 off I-84 take a right at the exit, funeral home is 1 ½, miles on your right.
