Anna Mleczko

Anna Nuzzo Mleczko age 96, ex-wife of the late Stanley J. Mleczko of New Britain, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2021 at Hughes Health Rehabilitation Center in West Hartford after a brief illness. She was born on December 6, 1924 in New Haven, CT to Frank and Margaret Nuzzo. She previously resided in New Haven and New Britain. She was a devout Catholic and enjoyed the services at Hughes.

She was a devoted mother to Theresa (Terri) Mleczko-Burness who currently resides in Kensington. She cherished all the time spent with her daughter, and looked forward to going to Terri's home for long visits and trips and vacations to the beach together. All of her friends and staff at Hughes looked forward to seeing her and enjoyed her company immensely. She loved participating in the social activities and Bingo at Hughes. Anna will be most remembered for her kind and loving nature toward everyone and all animals, especially her beloved granddogs. She was predeceased by 7 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by 2 sisters and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the Hughes Rehabilitation Center staff for their wonderful care to Anna over the many years. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society in Newington, CT.

A calling hours for Anna will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer service will occur Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at New Britain Memorial & Donald D. Sargarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain, Connecticut 06053. An interment services will occur Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 11:30 AM at St Mary Cemetery, 1309 Stanley St, New Britain, Connecticut 06051.
