Aleksandra Wisniewski, 96, of New Britain, passed away on July 30, 2012 at Monsignor Bojnowski Manor. She was born in Poland on July 2, 1916, a daughter to the late Jan and Anastazia (Zalewska) Dzieniszewski.
Aleksandra is survived by her son Edward Wisniewski and his wife Sophie, son Jerezy Wisniewski and his wife Helena, her beloved daughter Irene Goracy, grandchildren Sandy Goracy, Dorothy Murzyki, Ursula Zdrok, Daniel, Andrew, Robert and Joanna Wisniewski, Chris and Elizabeth, and 5 great grandchildren.
She will also be missed by several nieces, good friends and all who loved her. In addition to her parents, Aleksandra is predeceased by her husband, Waclaw Wisniewski, son Marion Wisniewski, and grandson Thomas Goracy.
Aleksandra was a devout Catholic, being a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church for many years where she was a member of the Ladies Guild. She always smiled and could often be heard singing, with a beautiful unforgettable voice. Aleksandra was a devoted to her family, being the best Babci ever.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Monsignor Bojnowski Manor for taking such special care of Aleksandra during her stay.
Funeral services will begin Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 9:30am from New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain, followed by the funeral liturgy at 10:30am in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
