Adam Zujko

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Adam Zujko, a beloved brother, father, cousin and friend. Adam was born on December 22, 1961, in Dobrowa Bialostocka, Poland, to the late Waclaw Zujko and Janina Zujko (Stankiewicz). He was one of four siblings, including two brothers, Peter (who is deceased) and Roman, and one sister, Krystyna Micun, all of whom reside in Poland.

As a young man, Adam served in the Polish army. In his early twenties, he made the courageous decision to immigrate to the United States, where he began a new chapter of his life. He settled in Hartford and found a loving family in the Draka household. For the past 24 years, Adam proudly called New Britain his home and was an active member of Haller Post in New Britain and member of the Sacred Heart Church in New Britain.

Adam's warm and infectious smile was a constant presence in his life. He had a zest for living and found joy in the simple pleasures life had to offer. Adam had a green thumb and was a passionate beekeeper and gardener, tending to his beloved plants and bees with care and dedication. He cherished the tranquility of fishing, the art of cooking, and the warmth of good company.

Family was paramount to Adam, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He is survived by his two children, Peter and Isabelle Zujko. Additionally, Adam leaves behind many cherished cousins, both here in the United States and in his native Poland, who will fondly remember the bonds they shared.

Adam Zujko's unexpected departure has left a void in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered for his warm heart, radiant smile, unwavering love for his family and friends, and his deep connection to the Sacred Heart Church and Haller Post. May his memory live on in the hearts of all those who were touched by his kindness and love.

A viewing for Adam will be held Monday, September 11, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at New Britain Memorial Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT 06053.

A catholic service will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St. New Britain, CT on Tuesday September 12 at 9:30 AM. Please meet family directly at church. A private burial will be held at a later date at The National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, PA.

Rest in peace, Adam. You will be dearly missed, but your spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved you.

Members of the General Haller Post and Auxiliary will meet at the funeral home on Monday evening at 5:30PM.
