

Ursula was born and raised in New Braunfels to Amador Cantu and Janie Cantu on February 8th, 1969. She attended New Braunfels High School and later graduated from Seguin Beauty School. She followed in her mother's footsteps becoming a Cosmetologist for many years. When Ursula was not being a beautician, she was keeping busy with retail management. Ursula left this earth a devoted catholic who spent her early years dancing for her mother's ballet folklorico dance group and helping to raise money for the local CIMA club. Ursula was known for her bright personality and ability to light up any room. She made a lasting impression on everyone she met, always taking the time to learn your name and remember your face, creating lifelong friendships. Ursula was and always will be the woman who knew everyone.
Ursula is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ernesto Sr. and Inez Aldana, and Daniel Sr. and Maria Cantu; her mother, Janie Cantu; uncles Robert Aldana, Gilbert Aldana, Ernesto Aldana Jr., Jesus Cantu, and Ramon Cantu; and aunts Maria Villarreal, Delia Villanueva, Nettie Cardenas, Helen Flores, and Esther Garza.
Ursula is survived by her father, Amador Cantu (Marlene); her children, Ashley Tuch (Chad) and Mercedes Cruz (Zachary); and her grandchildren, Kaleb Garcia, Kalvin Tuch, and Eva Kaufmann. She is also survived by her sisters, Molly Kisby (Ricky), Erika Montanio (Austin), and Krystal Cantu (Irving); nephews, Derek Montanio (Adrianna), Dylan Montanio, Jordan Sanchez, Oliver Aleman, Clover Aleman; nieces, Nichole Langley, Dr. Cassandra Kisby (Ilia), Alyssa Meadows (Gary), and Aliyah Montanio; her uncle, Daniel Cantu Jr.; and aunts, Irene Castaneda (Lupio), Elida Aldana, Hope Aldana, Mary Aldana, and Guadalupe Cantu.
Visitation will be May 13th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Zoeller Funeral Home, with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held May 14th at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, followed by burial at Comal Cemetery. The funeral procession will leave Zoeller Funeral Home at 9:45 a.m. to head to the church.
Reception to follow at Vicky’s Hinterhof, 719 W San Antonio St, New Braunfels, TX 78130 to celebrate her life.
