Tranquilino Lagunas Rodriguez

He married the only love of his life Maria Torrez on Valentine’s Day February 14th, 1955. He was a devoted Christian husband and father to 5 children. His career started at Randolph Air Force Base and then went to be a weaver for the textile mill for over 40 plus years. His passion was to serve the Lord every Sunday as an usher and greeting parishioners at Holy Family Catholic Church at the 8:00 am mass. He was also a member of Holy Name Society, Bingo Committee, and Bereavement Committee at Holy Family Catholic Church and a member of Union Funebre de Padres Familiares. His hobbies were maintaining a beautiful yard, had a green thumb growing flowers, tomato plants, and rose bushes and enjoyed watching his grandchildren in their extracurricular activities.

He is survived by his daughter’s Mary Lou Molina and husband Hector and Debra Regalado and husband Enrique; sons, Rudy Rodriguez and wife Linda and Randy Rodriguez and wife Beatrice; sister, Lucia Corona; 14 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maria Torrez Rodriguez; daughter, Virginia Gonzalez; sisters, Narciza Campos, Victoria Guzman, Maria Castaneda and Petra Lopez; brothers, Roberto Rodriguez, Benancio Rodriguez, Pasqual Rodriguez, Jr., and Leonard Pena, and grandson Mark Anthony Molina, and great granddaughter Azalea Perez, and great grandson Maddox Rubio.

Public viewing and visitation will begin 5:00 PM Tuesday October 1st, 2024 at Zoeller Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday October 2nd, 2024 at 8:00 AM at Zoeller Funeral Home and continue until 9:30 AM when the service departs in procession to the church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Ralainirina Francois Rakotovoavy, M.S.F. – celebrant. Burial will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery # 1. Special thanks to Genetiva Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to our father/grandfather.
