Thomas Hartsfield Beville (Pawpaw) loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, born October 2, 1939 at Nix Hospital in San Antonio, Texas to Margaret Ellen Hartsfield and Emmitt Eugene Beville passed away at age 83 on February 15, 2023. He graduated from Kentucky Military Institute in 1958. That summer he met his future bride Charlotte and they were married on December 17, 1960. They were married for 62 years.
He worked for Big Three Industrial Gas (Air Liquide USA) of Houston for 30 years and retired in April 1990 at age 50. After retiring he moved to Prairie Lea, Texas to live on his ranch for the next 20 years. He raised ostriches, emus, cattle, goats, horses, donkeys and pot-bellied pigs to name a few. While living in Prairie Lea he participated in the Kairos Prison Ministry as a Emmaus community member.
In 2010, he and Charlotte moved to New Braunfels, Texas. Tom loved working with his hands and always had a workshop full of power tools. He was also an avid camper and loved camping with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte Ashley Beville. His three sons: Thomas Beville Jr. and wife Anne; Michael Beville and wife Debra; Larry Beville and wife Margaret. His six grandchildren: Forrest, Falon, Paige, Collin, Lauren and Lindsay Beville. His sister Jaclyn Ellen Smith and husband Dr. Bradley Allen. His nephew Gaston and niece Spencer Margret Richmond. His great nieces Beatrice and Olivia. His cousin Molly Bigley and second cousins Roland and James Bigley. His three dogs Ginger, Gunner and Toby. Tom Beville loved his family, friends and dogs. He will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service for Thomas will be held on March 8, 2023 at 3:00pm at Gruene United Methodist Church, 2629 E. Common St, New Braunfels, TX 78130.
