Survived by Tommy her loving husband of 35 years, two brothers Don and Woody, her son Todd and four grandchildren AnTony, Alec, Hannah & Katlyn, and 18 nieces and nephews; along with her fur persons Kaycee and Indi.
Susan enjoyed her family and celebrating their accomplishments which included her extended family that reached across this great nation. She is a life member of the VFW and has been an active volunteer and Historian for Post 7110 and received numerous awards and certificates. Additionally, she loved her time as a volunteer with CASA looking after children. Her younger self loved to dance and go to concerts! When she wasn’t on the move (Oscar Mike) you would catch her gardening, watching American Idol, Yellowstone, 1883, and westerns – and then an evening cocktail with the love of her life - Tommy.
Susan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Northeastern State University, Tahlequah Oklahoma. She was colorful, happy, always smiling and full of life. She didn’t know a stranger and was willing to help anyone, including strays and some of those were animals too. She was a passionate lady that lived the example “live and let live” with kindness and compassion for all. Spreading joy is how she loved, from her hippie days of the 60’s into the Information Age!
A visitation for Susan will be held Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St, New Braunfels, Texas 78130, followed by a celebration of life at 3:00 PM.
