Susan "Susie" G. Kennedy

Susan “Susie” G. Kennedy, 61, of New Braunfels passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016 due to complications from recent surgeries. She overcame so much in her life and always did so with an awesome attitude. She was such a great family member and friend to so many people. Just an amazing person and an inspiration to all who were lucky enough to know her; we will miss her so much.

She was born to John Gillis and Jane Ann (Tidwell) Gillis in Naples, Texas on April 5, 1954. She is survived by her husband, David A. Kennedy of New Braunfels; son, Daniel B. Kennedy and wife Mandy of Richmond, Virginia; grandson, Ashton Kennedy, granddaughter, Aubrey Kennedy and one grandchild on the way; brother, John Gillis of New Braunfels; sister, Rebecca Bohannon of Blanchard, OK; and niece, Lindsey Pitcock and husband Travis and family of Midland, TX; and nephew, Joshua “JB” Solis of San Angelo, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Public Visitation will begin 5:00 PM Friday at Zoeller Funeral Home and will continue until 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Zoeller Funeral Home with burial to follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
