Sheila Hinton Stuman

Sheila Maye Hinton Stuman passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 26, 2023 at the age of 84. She was born on January 29, 1939 in Laredo, Texas to Fred and Faye Hinton. Sheila was married to Roy Stuman and had two boys Rhett and Jeff. She is a resident of New Braunfels Texas and was a 1957 graduate of Breckenridge High School. She worked at Kraft foods from a very young age until her retirement in 1995.

Sheila is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Faye Hinton; husband, Roy Stuman; and brother, Freddy Hinton. She is survived by sons, Rhett Stuman and wife Penni, and Jeff Stuman; grandchildren, Jaqueline Noble (Brett) and Rhett Tyler Stuman (Leslie); and her great grandchildren, Kylie, Charlee, Tinley, and Jaxon.

She was involved with her church St. Paul Lutheran, Brackenridge High School Club, NB Food Bank and contributed to the Alzheimer’s Association.

What everybody loved about her is that she made people feel good about themselves and always was a good listener. She will be remembered by everyone for the goodness that there is in this world and how we should live our lives in a way that we wouldn’t be afraid to sell the family parrot to the town gossip. She was the best mother anyone could ever have.

Services will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 777 W. San Antonio, TX. 78130. Viewing will begin at 1:00 PM until Service time at 2:00 PM. Entombment will follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or NB Food Bank.
