Sharon Thompson

Sharon Lynn Thompson, 74, of New Braunfels, TX passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio. She was born to Justine and Alfred Schwenke in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 29, 1942. Sharon and her husband owned and operated a steel fabrication business for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, going to the theater and going on cruises with her friends. Her grandchildren were very dear to her and she loved to watch them play sports.

She is survived by daughter, Caroline McCarty and husband Brent; son, Paul Thompson and wife Darla; stepson, Sid Thompson and wife Denise; grandchildren, Clark, Grant, and Christina McCarty; Matthew and Luke Thompson; step-granddaughter,Tina Thompson and numerous dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred A. Thompson and parents, Alfred and Justine Schwenke.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Grace Memorial Church with Reverend Adam Cork officiating. A private committal ceremony and burial will be held in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Grace Memorial Church or the American Diabetes Association.
