Bobby...sorry I didn't look you up sooner. You were my roommate at Dyess and in Vietnam. I remember a lot of little things. How we called you 'Rocky'. And those marathon Pinochle games with Diego (Jim Bell) and Ski (Dennis Skaradzinski). How your folks were from Iowa where I was from and that's how we both new Pinochle.  And how we had to teach Ski how to drive because he grew up in Milwaukee and never learned. And how you lucked out and I didn't because they had Lucky Strikes in Vietnam but not Pall Mall Reds.  And the day the General (or whatever he was) inspected the rooms at Dyess and right before he got there, our mean old First Sgt flipped over our room. Then the General walked in and saw the couch, the mini refrigerator full of Pearl Beer, the guitars and amps, the dozen Playboy Centerfolds on the walls (All framed like they were required to have), and our curtain of beer can pop tops (maybe a million? maybe two?) separating the 'living room' from the bunk beds. The General said, "I wouldn't mind living here." We passed that one.  I stil miss those times. I know you would've like reminiscing about them. They were good times. Ok, Bob...you rest for a while.  Look for Ski there in Heaven (unless he didn't make it) and I hope to get there, too. You're one of the Good Guys. SRT

I know this is a hard time for you and your family but remember his spirit will always be with you,  looking over you, keeping him close to you heart. Love and prayers to your family.

I am shocked at this very sad news. Bobby was a wonderful person with great talents. His happiness and joy of life made him a magnet for all his friends. I send Blessings and prayers for the entire family at this hard time.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Bobby was not just my co-worker, he was my friend and often times like a dad to me. He never failed to make me laugh and sometimes really think. He could come up with some good ones! I will always treasure the memories that I have just by being able to know him. One of my favorite sayings, that I repeat often is, "I'm not going to get involved!" Bobby loved using his hand gestures when talking and he would raise both hands in the air and move his head side to side when he would say, "I'm not going to get involved!"  Another thing I will never forget is when we ordered pizza. He said he didn't care for the ones with marshmallows on them. I said, "Bobby, no one puts marshmallows on pizza!, he said of course they do! We went round and round with this til we finally figured out that he meant "mushrooms" His response was, "Oh, Well, it's the same thing!" Bobby was very seldom wrong, ya know. He was very convincing.
Oh, how we laughed.
I miss you already my friend.

our deepest sympathy to the Bloom family. we knew bobby for many years and have  lots of memories of past times. we played music,sang songs, played together in the same band and even worked together at Sears for a long time. he was a dear man and loved his family very much he will be missed dearly but he will always be remembered for being a great person a good man. may God bless you and give you strength to carry on, in our prayers.
