Rita Lee Riel

Born in Michigan, Rita called Texas home when moving to Houston in the early 1960’s and eventually settling in Seguin, where she helped raise her grandchildren and great-grandson. Known around Seguin as “Miss Rita” she brought a smile and kind words to everyone she encountered and was loved by all her family and friends. Rita loved visiting the Seguin Public Library and enjoyed relaxing on the upper level where she could view the park below.

Rita was preceded in death by husband Bradley J. Bruning of Rockport, TX, brothers Jerry Losey of Albuquerque, NM and Larry Losey of Tucson, AZ and granddaughter Denali Molina of Seguin, TX. Rita is survived by her sister Linda Poppen in Casa Grande, AZ, brother Terry Losey in Lansing MI, son and daughter in-law Doug and Anne Bruning in Claremore OK, daughter Dawn Wells in San Antonio TX, grandson Forrest Wells in Seguin TX and great grandson Trae Simecki in Hempstead, TX as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
