     I have never forgotten the first time I met the Reidhead boys——many, many years ago.  I went to drop my son off at their house for a play date and I was met with a blast of air soft shots to the body. I was so mad at those little blonde haired boys, but after several apologies from the boys and the biggest smile I had ever seen my life (from Riley), I left my son to play. 
     Some years later, Riley took a trip with our family to the beach for Sandfest. As we were walking along the beach, with hundreds of other beachgoers, my son comes to my husband and I and tells us to “keep an eye on Riley”, he then says “he likes to talk to complete strangers and he will wonder off”.  These “boys” were 17 & 18 years old. Before we knew it, we were in trouble with our son , for letting Riley “wonder off”.   When Riley reappeared  he was smiling ear to ear.  
     Riley will forever hold such a special place in the hearts of the Hell Family. Each of my children has such fond memories of the time they spent with him.  We are all beyond blessed to have known such a true treasure. 
     Here is a photo of the day at the beach that Riley wandered off.   Our Tyler was so mad at us, yet look at that smile….Riley wasn’t lost at all, he was right where he needed to be. I can guarantee you, he was making someone smile. ❤️

Riley was a great friend. When we were in Boot Camp together. We shared a rack. We would wake up and get yelled at by our drill instructor if we messed up our rack. We would get blasted and sent to the quarter deck and get “I.T.” (Intensive training) together. He would always laugh or smile about it. We went to Marine combat training and again we were in the same company. We went to the field together during our time there and slept outside on a little mat while it rained down on us. Thanks to him I was able to laugh and enjoy what seemed like the hardest times. We even were on Camp Johnson together while he was training to for his MOS as was I. He even shared a room with my brother Samuel and we would all hangout during the school. I got orders to Okinawa on a small base called Camp Courtney. I was so alone and sad. I genuinely prayed for one of the few times in my life. A few days later Riley called me to ask me about where he was going since I could look it up since I was an administrator. I pulled it up and I was fortunate enough to have two years in Japan with him. He was one of my best friends and helped keep me up in the toughest times. Without him my time in Japan would’ve never been as enjoyable or memorable. His laugh, and his smile were contagious. I love him like a brother. Thank you for blessing me with another family member.

  Words can never express how grateful I am for God bringing us together. Your personality and heart always were your strengths. You helped me get through some tough parts in my life. You constantly cared about my family and I without asking anything in return. I will miss, mijo. 

I had the privilege of having Riley in class. He always had a positive attitude and a good work ethic. He was friendly and a good friend to all. My deepest condolences and prayers to all of Riley's family and friends.


I was 13.. And my family first moved to Tx, I strictly remember the Reidheads being our first neighborhood friends, they were building their house down the street in “River Chase”, about the same time my family was building our house… And  i remember always hanging out,  and helping out with the construction of their home,  playing sports,  even going through middle/high school together … 
We will never forget how silly and upbeat his attitudes was… Such a great guy he was. Tons of love to the Reidheads.. and god bless your beautiful family.
