Raymond Razo of New Braunfels TX, went home to be with our Lord and Savior at the age of 74 on April 18th surrounded by his loved ones. Ray is survived by his wife Marcia of 34 years, brothers Jesus Razo and Paul Razo , Children – Raymond Razo Jr, Richard Razo, Rachelle Razo, Susan Shellem, Katherine and Randy Luton, Christine and John Zuber, Robert and Jamie Razo, twelve grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.
Raymond was born on August 25th 1948 to Paul and Barbara Razo in Jerome AZ. He was raised in Ajo AZ along with his six siblings. Ray was a boiler maker/ welder in the copper mine in Ajo as a young man. Ray moved his family to Cottonwood AZ to work as a maintenance worker in the cement plant. Ray would later move to the High Desert in California where he met and married the love of his life Marcia Razo. He helped to build the Crystal Hills Water Company. Ray’s long work history ended at Cemex and he retired in 2014. In 2021 he and Marcia moved to New Braunfels, Texas to be with his youngest son and youngest grandchildren.
Ray was a man who loved his family and friends greatly. He was a very gentle man who would always put others first. We will miss his singing to Elvis, dancing with his wife on the patio, his sense of humor and his mere presence. He will be missed by the many who knew and loved him and his salsa!
A celebration of life will be held by the family at a future date to be determined.
