Milda Schneider

Milda was the fourth of five children born to Albert and Meta Ilse Hansmann of New Braunfels on August 22, 1924.

She met her husband of 70 years at Echo Hall in Comal County where they fell in love and were married on October 24, 1942. They resided in Comal County all their lives where they raised their children.

She is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Meta (Ilse) Hansmann; her children Shirley Ann Short; Virgil Lynn Schneider; brother Edgar Hansmann; sisters Edna Brinkkoeter; Helga Schmidt and Lucille Skipper.

Milda is survived by her husband, Eldred Irwin Schneider; son-in-law Joe Short; daughter –in- law (Liz) Elizabeth Schneider; daughters, Sandra Munoz and husband, Robert; Vercille Triesch and husband Ricky; Rayne Knowlton and husband Sam; Pennie Schneider-Willett and husband Leo; grandchildren, Keith Eismann, Kellee Quinn, Steven Krueger, Shanna Hicks, Staci Rohde, Dawn Wiederstein; Loretta and Bradley Triesch; Shakotah and Kourtney Knowlton; Kaitlin and Andrew Willett, 10 great grandchildren and three great grandbabies on the way, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Bulverde; Hermann Sons Lodge number 127 of Spring Branch.

Milda was a devoted and loving wife, mother and Ome who always placed her husband & family first in her life. She enjoyed working with Eldred and her businesses over the years, Spring Branch Store; Schneider’s Restaurant and Schneider’s Country Store serving the Spring Branch / Bulverde areas. She was well known around many counties for her Chicken Fried Steaks and Homemade pies (Apple, Buttermilk and Pecan). She also worked for Somers Drug Store, McKenna Memorial Hospital and Comal I.S.D. Her hard work ethic and family dedication will be remembered and honored for generations to come.

Public Visitation will begin 5:00 PM Monday, at Zoeller Funeral Home with the family present to receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Zoeller Funeral Home with Reverend Donald Ofsdahl officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made in Milda’s honor to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bulverde, Texas.
