Michael was born on September 2, 1961 in Bryan Texas to Marvin and Geneva Pustka. He attended St. Joseph’s Catholic school in Bryan and in 1973 the family moved to New Braunfels where he quickly made numerous lifelong friends. Michael graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1980 and received a B.S. in Construction Science from Texas A&M in 1984.
After graduation he worked as a home designer in New Braunfels and later in Houston with David Weekley Homes as he headed up the design division of Custom Classics designing spectacular custom homes. Michael was driven and quickly realized he enjoyed business management as well as helping others to succeed and achieve their goals.
Recently he worked as a manager at the Scooter Store in New Braunfels and managed vehicle sales in San Antonio.
Michael was a past member of the New Braunfels Rotary Club and enjoyed being active in helping his community and building relationships.
His true love and passion were his sons’ Chandler and Lucas. His tireless dedication to their soccer games, celebrating victories great and small are what he loved. He had a passion for food and cooking, a love for music, and an interest in home-brewed beer.
Michael had a strong faith and he lived these traits in his everyday life. He was a parishioner at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church and his religion and the tradition of the church were very important to him.
Michael’s place in his family was that of their rock and their voice of reason. He was the first one to call in a time of need, was the first one by your side and the last to stay and comfort you. Weekend family dinners, get togethers, trips to the beach, holidays and vacations are the best memories we won’t forget. He was our example of love, compassion, and unselfishness and for that we loved him. His caring heart and spirit will be greatly missed.
Michael has two sons Chandler 21 and Lucas 17, of New Braunfels. He was preceded in death by his father Marvin in 2009. He’s survived by his mother Geneva of New Braunfels, his brother Mark of Austin, brother John of New Braunfels, brother Matthew of College Station, and Melissa Pustka Clark of New Braunfels.
