Melida S. Rodriguez

Melida S. Rodriguez, born on December 10, 1926 and matriarch of a large Sotelo family went with the Lord on July 22, 2016 at the age of 89. She was the last surviving sibling of six. Her home was the gathering place for the family over the years and all were always welcomed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rogelio R. Rodriguez, son Rogelio R. Rodriguez, Jr., and daughter Patricia Aguirre. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Ernesto, Ramiro and Joe, along with sisters Esther and Lucia. She is survived by son, Adrian Rodriguez, daughter in law, Yvonne G. Rodriguez, Granddaughter Angela Rodriguez Waller, Grandsons, Rocky Garza and Andrew Aguirre, five Great-Grandsons, five Great Granddaughters, one Great-Great Grandson, 31 Nieces, 12 Nephews, 23 Great Nieces, 19 Great Nephews, 19 Great-Great Nieces, 21 Great-Great Nephews, three Great-Great-Great Nieces, and three Great-Great-Great Nephews.

A Visitation will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home on Thursday, July 28th from 5pm-9pm; Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 29th at 10:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in the name of Melida S.
