Mickie is survived by Rudy Acevedo, Sr.; her daughter and son-in-law, Delia and Ralph Cervantes; her son and daughter-in-law, Rudy and Jill Acevedo, Jr.; her granddaughters, Amanda Cervantes and Regina Ruiz; one great-grandson, Dominic Ruiz; her sister and brother-in-law, Tere and Henry Arizpe; her sister, Elena Lincon; her sister and brother-in-law, Esther and Frank Perez; and numerous nieces, nephews and their children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tomas and Rosa Valdez; her sisters, Minerva De Leon and Juanita Palomo; and her brother, David Valdez.

Visitation services will be held Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas. The funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, May 20, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in New Braunfels, Texas. Burial will follow in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Following the burial, there will be a reception, finger food and refreshments in the Saint Mary’s Hall at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
