Mommy 2 yrs ago today we were saying goodbye at the cemetery...if I don't think about it or dwell on it too much I might make it through...I hope the angels know what they got!!! Hello Ma-ma, its been a while and another year gone by since you went home to Pap and the rest of the family. A year and a half to be exact, with mothers day coming around the corner where we all celebrate this day.  For me everyday is Mothers Day always reflecting on all you have taught me through out my life. Its nice to have just one day set aside to recognize our day. Mommy, I finally made it out to you & popo to put Spring flowers on your plots. Actually Flo & I put Easter flowers on Easter Sunday. Hope you and popo had a wunnerful Easter! It is almost May 2017 and you two are so very much in my thoughts. I still wake up crying, from dreams I guess...I see & hear you & popo in everyday things & swallow the lump in my throat...I miss you so much...oh mommy I have so many regrets & I know that is a  dark place...I love you!!

Oh mommy...it's Thanksgiving tomorrow and it is just not the same. Yes, we are all contributing to the meal that will be spread at Qeet's house and we will gather to give thanks but it's just not the same. Gosh mother, it's been almost a year since you left to be with dad, and I still miss you like it was yesterday. Even though I knew in my heart that your time with us was numbered after dad died, I still couldn't prepare myself for that moment. Like an illness, I have good days and bad days when it comes to missing you and dad. Right now I've never felt so alone, especially with Father's Day, Mother's Day, and my birthday being here to celebrate. I love and miss you guys a lot.

Father's Day this Sunday...double whammy both Papa Mac & Popo have gone on to be angels. Like Mother's Day...it is empty hereLove & miss you both!!!

Well, yesterday was the last celebration I would have to face without mother since her passing. The past year has been difficult, to say the least, but I learned and saw things that opened my eyes. Not everyone shared the same depth of my grief and I appreciate those that put up with me during that time (I was worse than usual). Thank you mother, even though you're not here, you're still teaching me.

My mommy, It was Mother's Day yesterday...I read somewhere to celebrate it even more in your memory...I guess this may be true, but I still struggle with the "celebrate" part...it's hard enough just trying to maintain day to day with the day to day stuff we normally deal with...it is very tiring sometimes to keep that happy face front and center for the public, family, friends when all the while I am dying inside...maybe that's the strength coming from you, who knows?? I just know you're not here. I love you mommy!!!

1st Mothers Day to celebrate without your physical self is a slow realization that there will be more like this...ma-ma... I want to again thank you for all you have taught me & as I experience each day without you, then I remember. Forever you are watching over me under Jesus guidance & directions. My mommy, only God knows the pain, the regret, the sadness, the oh so deep ache that grips my heart...they talk about the stages of grief and you don't necessarily get them in any particular order...I guess mine is so messed up...I'm surprised I still function...no time to grieve...Papa, Popo, Granny...You. Then I think about you and your strength, take a deep breath and try to move forward...I hate this...I can't breathe sometimes.  Luke is 7 months old now, Bria turns 33 next week and you're not here...I miss you mommy!!!

Wow... I have been dealing with the pain by avoiding the things that trigger the memories. I have seen the occasional notifications that someone signed the guestbook. I get tears in my eyes at work and mark the email as read. This morning, I decided to open the guestbook and read the messages that I've been avoiding until now. All of my siblings have put in words what I've been feeling and dealing with on a personal level. I'm dealing with your death somewhat okay, mom. You know the feelings in my heart and the thoughts in my head because I know you are now one of my spirit guides. I think when dad passed in Feb 2014, I knew that it was the beginning of the end. Usually not always, according to statistics, two people who have been together many, many years usually pass within a year or two of each other. There was still hope that you would beat the odds of those statistics. It seems God had other plans for you. People have offered me comfort by telling me both you and dad lived a long life and now you two are together again in eternity. I do find comfort in that, but the pain is still there. Lately, I have been asking myself, "what would dad or mom do" when faced with a decision or action. I know I should have been around more when you were alive and it still haunts me, dad's words, "you need to see your mom more". We came down on one of our day-trips, it was a Friday and we went to lunch at Los Cucos.  This was before dad was diagnosed with Cancer. One of many memories that trigger the tears... I continue to cry in silence, but I know you are there with me during those moments because something will come up, a happy memory, and I begin to smile again.  Yes, that was you, mom, still watching out for me, even from the spirit world.

Good morning ma-ma another many days have gone by and I am sitting here thinking of you. The phases of emotions still are overwhelming me. Mostly anger.

Hello mother, I'm still waiting for the pain of your leaving to pass. Late at night, after Vicki has gone to bed and the house is quiet, that's the time that I spend alone with you, talking with you, crying with you. I miss you mother, and even though memories are a good thing, I hate them because they won't let me forget you. I now know how empty you felt when dad left because I sit and pray for my wife to feel better so that I won't have to live my life without her. It's such a terrible feeling to see someone you love hurting and knowing that you can not take their place. I see that in Vicki and I saw it in you ... but I will be strong for you mother, life goes on, we just have to learn to deal with the changes it brings. I love you and miss you.

Note to God: Please take care of my mother and dad, and all the loved ones in my life, I'm depending on you until I'm there to be with them.

Hi Mom, I sure miss you, your laughter, your silliness, your company, you... I am not as good on words as my siblings because what I have in my heart is too painful to be exposed. Like Yolanda I too will forever regret the time I let pass by and not spend with you I guess I thought you would be here forever. I talk to you every morning going to work and at night but it's not the same. denial, don't know I just want to hug you and hear your beautiful laugh. I love you Mom, I love you so much and to say I miss you does not even begin to describe it.

Hello mother .... well Thanksgiving and Christmas have come and gone and I spent the holidays with my family but still had you deep in my memory. I'm thankful for the time I have with those I love but the holidays will never be the same for me. In your memory I must begin my own tradition and because of that, I will do just that, but for right now, it's still very hard. Yesterday it snowed and the cold winds reminded me to the way I feel deep down inside. Chandra gave Vicki and I a beautiful picture book dedicated to you and the memories we shared. Vicki and I cried seeing the pictures of you and made Chandra feel bad because she didn't want to make us feel sad, but they were good tears, they were loving tears. I hope in time God shows me how to fill the void that is in my heart for you. I love and miss you mother, now and always.

Ma-ma  a beautiful memorial was held this past Saturday. And when I saw your beautiful smile come on that screen, I knew more than ever you will always be there for me. Reassuring me. Mommy we attended a memorial done by Zoeller for loved ones that had passed in 2015...it was beautiful. They presented us with an ornament that Joe placed on the tree. They played a song titled a different Christmas...Yes it will be...not looking forward to it. The hole in my heart is still there and sometimes this facade gets really hard...I love you my mommy!!

Mother, I never dreamed that I'd be writing in a "Guest Book" dedicated to your memory. I knew this day was coming, I guess I just never got prepared for it. We are all grieving in our own way, the common denominator in our grief is you. 

Someone asked me how I was doing, and I said that I had my moments, it's usually when I'm by myself or doing something that I knew eventually dealt with you.

I'm not the only person who lost someone they love, but I was lucky and blessed to have you for my mother. You gave of yourself and you did it with strength and dignity, something I hope to someday be like myself.

Hi mom.  Just learned a friend of mine gained her angel wings and is now up in heaven with you.  Her name is Annie.  Show her around you will like her.  Thanksgiving is this week and we are feeling a great emptiness.   Was looking threw my recepies and came across one you wrote out.  I will treasure it cause it is in your hand writing. Mother, I've tried but I can't forget the memories embedded deep within my heart and mind. I know grief is only a place to visit and not a place to stay, so I face each passing day and tell everyone that I'm alright. I'm not going to wallow in my hurt, but it will take a long time to get over this feeling of loss and hurt whenever I think of you. One day the pain will go away, but your memory never will ... Mother, I took the chair cover that you had and every time I sit in my recliner I smell you and silent tears fall inside my heart. No one knows how much I miss you, just knowing you're not there when I visit leaves an empty feeling in my heart and soul. Mother, the holidays are approaching and this will be my first time you won't be there to spend them with me. To say I miss you is putting it lightly. For 63 years you were there, but now I know you are with our Lord and others who love you and were waiting for you. As you have in the past, prepare a place for me and I will join you some day.

Dearest Aunty, My first memory of you was as a kid ,so excited when you, Joseph, Adriana and Yolanda visited us in Manila... my American relatives from far away Guam. Mommy always spoke fondly and lovingly of you, her youngest sister.  All my other encounters with you were always so special and warm. You were always smiling and so quick to laugh. So  beautiful, in my mind I always thought you looked a little like Raquel Welch. Never told you this but we will have a good laugh about it one day in heaven.  Go with the angels sweet Aunty Maggi as you join all the other beloved who have gone to be with the Lord.

Even in my sleep I am selfish. My dreams take on a life of their own it seems...I thought at first this dream was about binx. Someone in my dream asked if binx knew about the Lord because it felt like we were having a discussion about the Lord and Angels. I looked down at binx and he was literally crying. I scooped him up and clung to him, hugging him with all my heart and started crying. It was that deep soul wrenching cry like "now that I started it will never end" kind of cry. Somewhere in my mind I heard the BJ Thomas song "MAMA"...even worse, made my tears hot. Then I saw my mommy. In my mind my thought was I don't want you to be an Angel in Heaven, I want you here...be an Angel here..DON'T GO. I need you here! Then Russell touched me to wake me up...my existence (me) will never be the same. I love you my mommy!!
Now awake, reality barges in and I have responsibilities...l have to be strong, "like my mommy"!

I love you mommy, you will forever be in my heart helping me to be strong!!

I know there is nothing I can say that will take away the pain we feel from our loss of this wonderful woman. She has been a mother, grand mother and nurturing source to so many all her life. I know in my own heart that she is with friends now laughing and chattering away about old times and all the wonderful things that made up her life.

Death is just part of the journey, like being born. When we are in the womb that is our reality, our whole world is there and we don't know if there's anything else. We hear and feel things that may make us think there is but we don't know it yet. Being born is very scary and painful, our world is ending and the transition is painful to make but once we are out the world is ENORMOUS and brite. Our senses are flooded with new things we could never imagine in the womb. There are beings that love us and take care of us while we begin this new part of our journey and I know that our death in this life is not so different than the birth that brought us into it. There will be friends and family waiting there on the other side to guide us and nurture us as we begin to grow in that new expanded world and continue our journey. I'm not afraid to die and I don't mourn the dead. I rejoice for them I mourn my own loss and loneliness even though I know it is only temporary. Those that have pasted before us will all be there waiting for us when it is our turn to cross over.

Mom you have been such an inspiration in my life.  My memories I will cherish for ever.  I am so thankful that I had you and dad in my life.  I did not want to lose you on earth but I know we have a beautiful angel watching over each and everyone of us.  Love you for ever.

Ma-ma, The time we spent with each other will never leave me....the memories we made together will always be remembered...the challenges we overcame and the triumphs we happily shared are all that I will always take with me where ever I go.  I love you Mommie...Keep keeping those beautiful eyes and warm smile on me cause you are my rock.

As I lay awake in bed, I find it hard to hold back the tears. I wish we could have been together more, but time flew by so quickly, year after year. The guilt is going to crush me to pieces. Forever, I will hold regret in my heart. There is no one else to blame but me. Now all I have are a handful of memories which will be my lifeline as I cope with each passing day. I love you so much and miss you terribly, Momma. You're with dad now. It's been a year and 8 months since his passing. During your last days on this earth, I felt his presence among loved ones who also have passed. They all were there to bring you home. Sweet dreams, Momma. This isn't goodbye.
