She is survived by two brothers, Steven James and wife Elaine of Colorado Springs, CO, and Raphael James of Mayflower, AR.; and two sisters, Rebecca “Becky” Taylor and husband Bill of Danbury, TX, and Myra Martin and husband Jay of New Braunfels, TX. Also survived by two nieces, Lucretia Boyd of Lake Jackson, TX (and her children Chelsey, Katelyn, Ashlynn and Charity.) Niece, Bethany Martin of New Braunfels, TX. Nephews are Hamoudi James of Mayflower, AR, Marcus Taylor and wife, Kim of New Braunfels, TX, James Eric Taylor (and daughter, Celeste) of Friendswood, TX, and Jeremy Taylor (and daughter, Hope) of Danbury, TX. Also a host of family and friends that all called her “Pete” or Aunt Pete, a loved nickname given her at a young age!
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Warner R. James and Jo Ann Nichols James.
She will always be remembered for her contagious laugh that always brought laughter and a smile to anyone that knew her. She ministered throughout her life songs of Praise and Worship, the Word of God and shared the Plan of Salvation, Acts 2:37-39! She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St. New Braunfels, TX. 78130.
