Josefa Campos Esquivel

Josefa C. Esquivel, beloved Mother and Grandmother passed away on April 11, 2025 in New Braunfels, Texas at the age of 96. Josefa was born in Granger, Texas in 1929 to Francisco and Paula Campos. She was a woman of great faith, loved her family and loved life. She was a social butterfly and always made sure to talk to all at family and church gatherings. She was loved by all and she loved and prayed for everyone.

She worked in the fields up North for many years. Later in life, she worked at Krause’s Cafe for several years before retiring to care for her grandchildren. Josefa’s greatest joy was being a Grandmother. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking and making jewelry.

Josefa is proceeded in death by her parents Francisco and Paula Campos, her sisters Eudelia Esquivel and Hermelinda Contreras, and her brothers Felipe Campos, Antonio Campos, Ezequiel Campos and Anselmo Campos. She is survived by her only Daughter, BIanca Ayala (Alonso), her Granddaughters Bianca Ayala and Adriana Ayala (Manuel Hernandez, Jr.) and her Grandson Alexander Ayala and numerous nieces and nephews.

Special Thanks to our Ayala Family, my sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews and extended family for always making my Mom feel welcomed and loved at all of our gatherings and reunions.

A public visitation for Josefa will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025 from 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St, New Braunfels, Texas 78130. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 5:30 PM. A public visitation will occur Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM, 615 Landa St, New Braunfels, Texas 78130. A graveside service will occur Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 11:30 AM at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park, 2951 TX Hwy 46, New Braunfels, Texas 78130.
