John P. Bishop Jr.

John Presley Bishop was born August 18, 1929 in San Antonio, Tx and passed away at the age of 93 on April 22, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane, sisters Evelyn and Ginger, parents John and Ethel.

He met his wife, Diane at Alamo Stadium in San Antonio when they were 17 years old. He was a devoted husband for 66 years.

John is survived by his daughter, Donna Ann Jackson and son in law Lee Jackson. Grandsons, Presley Jackson, Chris Jackson and wife Xin Jackson, great grandchildren Lea Jackson, and Reagan Jackson, nephew Jack Rogers, and niece Louise Ward, several cousins and numerous friends.

John grew up during the depression and started working early in life. He enjoyed working and always had projects going on. He founded Texas Tool Makers in San Antonio and retired at 76. He had a love of boats and built his first boat from the ground up. Port Aransas was a second home for him and he spent many summers fishing there. He enjoyed deep sea fishing with his wife's cousins and taking his grandsons out on fishing trips. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and visited different countries and many Caribbean islands. He also enjoyed working in his home shop and taking care of the goats.

He will be greatly missed and never forgotten by all that lives he touched during his lifetime
