Janie, or Mrs. B as her previous students addressed her, was an early elementary age educator of 33 years who worked within the NBISD elementary schools system. Most notably as a bilingual educator within the teaching community. Her passion was building strong and intelligent readers at an early start. Janie also had a love for her family that exceeds what can be captured by pen and paper. From early on she provided every opportunity for her children to be successful through adulthood and through the years passed her love and generosity on to her grandchildren and great grandchildren alike. Janie loved life to the fullest. She led a very active social life within her community and her church and never failed to lend a shoulder or an ear when you needed her most. Her strength, humility and keen sense of humor are only a few of the endearing qualities of what she will be remembered for.
Janie is preceded in death by her husband Antonio Barboza, grandson Stephen Andrew Molina, and all Fuentes siblings- 2 brothers and 8 sisters. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Mary Garber (Fred), Danny Zavala (Delores), and Ruben Zavala (Rose, Debbie), and sister in her heart Mary Jane Espinoza (David). Grandchildren Dominic Molina (Brandi), Ruben Andrew Zavala, Bryan Adam Zavala, Daniel Steven Zavala Jr, Mark Allen Zavala, and Holly Elizabeth Oswald.
