They lived together, served together and died together. Harold Boyd Barber, 87, and Margaret Jo Robinson Barber, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday March 29, 2017. While a tragic departing, one can see God's grace and mercy intertwined in the details.
Harold and Jo were members of First Baptist Church of New Braunfels and served God though building mission churches, hosting a weekly Bible study in their home, working in the church kitchen, volunteering at the local food bank, visiting those in nursing homes, distributing Bibles with The Gideons International, and so much more.
They are survived by Jo's siblings and their spouses, Nola and Andy Morrison, and Greg and Janis Robinson; daughters and their spouses, Charlotte Diane Barber and Archie Sheppard, and Elizabeth and Gib Watt; five grandchildren and their spouses, Brandi and Felton Joseph, Heather Pacheco, Ashley and Steven Draughon, Jonathan Watt, and Brice and Donald Harrison; nine great grandchildren, Benjamin, David and Emma Joseph, Nick, Matt and Gabi Pacheco, Olivia and Hunter Draughon, and Riley Harrison; and many other family and close friends.
They are preceded in death by Harold's parents, Boyd and Nora Barber and sister, Evalena Barber; Jo's parents, Bill and Monnie Robinson and sister and her husband, Joyce and Steve Samples; and Harold and Jo's great granddaughter, Ruth Joseph.
