Some high school students he taught at Bill Hill Music Studio were successful and highly recognized at their high school band programs. Other high school students that won top awards were accepted into prestigious schools of music, including The Guitar Institute of Technology in Los Angeles CA. Gerald also helped a few of his guitar students record their own music at a local music studio.
His favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends. He also liked traveling, and one of his favorite places to go was Las Vegas, Nevada and enjoyed going out to restaurants, not only locally, but wherever he traveled to. He enjoyed seeing and listening to live bands, and for relaxation, he played one of his many guitars at home. Music and guitar were his life and his passion.
