I was deeply saddened to hear of Gary's passing through the Fiesta Texas Alumni's Facebook page.  Gary and I worked together the first couple of years the park was open, and his eternal optimism and ready supply of jokes and stories made some very long days go by much faster.  I'll miss his good humor and willingness to pitch in at a moment's notice.  Be at peace, my friend.

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this very sad time.  Gary was such a sweet, caring individual and that is something I will never forget.  We were both so young and thought that we knew everything there was to know about life and marriage.  Little did we know.  I am so thankful to have been able to see him when I lost my mother.  He was very genuine with his feelings and that is something I will always cherish.  Claribel:  You were very special to me because you treated me like I was just as important as one of your own. You as well as the rest of your family hold a very special place in my heart.  You hold some very special memories of your son in your memory album.  May the Lord hold and comfort you throughout the days to come.

It’s me Robert.  I miss you so dame much! And even though I know you are truly in a better place, I just want you here. We had so much more to do and say……….I will always, in everything I do, in everywhere I go and in all the family gatherings, be missing you and thinking about you and wishing you were with us. Keep an eye out for us as time goes by and God calls us to him.

Gary you were always ready with a hug and a smile for your friends at Fiesta TX.  I think you were one of the first friends I made there actually.  You will be missed greatly.  My condolences to his family & friends at this time.

Gary, my friend.  You're last curtain call has come too soon, too soon.  I remember you in that first group of "techies".  YOU opened the park despite all the mud and miscues.  It was a crazy time.  Yet a time of great satisfaction in yourself and your compadres.  Satisfaction in a job well done.
So I say to you, my friend - - - Well Done, Gary, Well Done!!  - - -  Fade to the purist light you will ever experience, Gary.  Fade to the Pure Light of HIS LOVE!!

It saddens my heart to hear of Gary's passing.  I worked with Gary on many shows while at Fiesta Texas and always admired his professionalism.  My prayers are with his family at this difficult time.

My condolences go out to Gary's loved ones.I have many fond memories of Gary At Fiesta Tx.There was a lot going on but we still had the best Tech's in the Industry.Keep rockin Brother.

Gary was one of the sweetest and most genuine men I've known.  I worked with him at Fiesta Texas for many many years.  He was a hard worker, a smarty pants, and a loyal friend.  Gary, thank you for all the talks, smiles, hugs, and support through the years, I will truly miss you.  And my prayers go out the his friends and family through this very vulnerable time.

All of us here at Fiesta Texas have lost a true friend in Gary. He always had a simple little joke to tell me every time I seen him and they always made me laugh. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends.

I am very saddened to hear of the passing of this very wonderful, friendly, giving man.  He was always there with a microphone and a smile no matter how difficult the day.  He will be missed by many people and will always bring a smile to my face when I think of or someone speaks his name.

Gary was so friendly and funny, and he made working at Rockville even more fun opening year. He *always* had a smile on his face, and in his eyes. He will be greatly missed.  

Our prayers go out to Gary's family and many friends.

I will always remember you Gary, you should me the ropes in lighting. I have so many fun memories of you and all the lighting techs at Fiesta Texas. My prayers go out to Gary's family.

Gary was one of the most accomodating individuals I ever worked with - ANYWHERE. He never failed to put in extra hours to GET IT RIGHT! I will always appreciate his friendship, too. You will be missed.

One of my favorite memories of Gary is going to the beach with him and my friends. It's our annual tradition to go to there for Thanksgiving and Gary used to come with us. He was always fun to be around and was a master at the game of Farkle.

Gary My friend, I will never forget all the great times we had working together at Fiesta Texas. To Gary's family my thoughts and prayers are with you and may God bless you and keep you in your time of need.

I shall always remember Gary as a fun-loving guy that was quick to share a new joke he learned with us at the shop.  For all the times that he strolled in with bags of tackle from Bass Pro Shops he would always try to amaze up with the newest fish gadget "guaranteed" to catch the big one.  I was honored to have you as a friend, and I wish the Rutherford family my deepest condolences.
