She is survived by one son, Mike (Linda) Rogers of Canyon Lake; one daughter, Sharon (Joe) Bream of Port Aransas; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; one brother, Bill (Betty Jo) Trigg also of Eden Hill and two nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by her husband, James.
Frances Marie Trigg was born in Wall, Tom Greene County, Texas on November 19, 1920 to Walter Lee Trigg and Mary Maud Branum Trigg. For a many years, the family lived on a half section of land 15 miles southeast of San Angelo where Walter was known and respected as an animal rights activist and one of the last Longhorn breeders in the county. He was an early advocate of San Angelo College. Three of his children attended the college. Frances graduated from San Angelo High School in 1938 and was a member of the pep squad and glee club during her school years. She graduated from San Angelo College in 1940.
She married James Franklin Rogers on September 21, 1940. The couple lived in San Angelo, Austin, Dallas and Seguin before moving to Eden Village in 1998. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in New Braunfels where she especially enjoyed the Roundtable Sunday School class.
A celebration of her life will take place at 10:30 a.m. on February 5, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church in New Braunfels, the Rev. Harold Sassman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Eden Hill in New Braunfels or your favorite charity.
