Earl Roger Scott

Earl Roger Scott, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away at home on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the age of 86. Earl was born on November 25, 1929 in Jefferson City, Missouri to Celeste and Earl Ray Scott. Earl was the eldest of 2 children. He married his wife, Helen Barnes on June 4, 1950 and cherished 66 years together. Earl served his country with honor and retired from the U.S. Air Force. He later worked for the Federal Aviation Administration for 34 years and received the National Outstanding Flight Assist award in 1988. Earl was actively involved in many community and church associations.

Earl is survived by his wife Helen and 5 children, along with their spouses; Carolyn Barron, Mike Scott, Mary Reynolds, Roger Scott, and Jim Scott. Earl is survived by 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews, whom he loved deeply. As a family man, many friends became family, during their time spent living all across the country, including Alaska, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Texas.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas, from 5:00pm-9:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 10:00am at Zoeller Funeral Home, with burial at Comal Cemetery following the service.
