Danny Ellis Chambers was given life by his Creator and was born on July 18, 1966, in Cleburne, Texas, the son of Holly Ellis Chambers and Mamie Lou Marriott.
He received the gift of Holy Baptism and became a child of God. On May 16, 1999, he publicly confessed his faith, was confirmed in the faith, and received the precious gift of the Lord's life-giving body and blood.
Dan desired to serve God and His Church, and so pursued a theological education at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana. On March 25, 2007, Dan was ordained into the
Office of the Holy Ministry at Trinity Lutheran Church of Manito, Illinois.
God blessed Dan's life with many special people: his son, Andrew; his daughter, Delani; and his former wife, Karen, with whom remained close. In late 2011, Dan was hospitalized with illness, and lost his mobility. Finally, on February 24,2023, God blessed Dan with a holy death and took him home to rest in the arms of Jesus to await the resurrection of the dead.
Dan is preceded in death by his mother, Mamie; his father, Holly; a brother, Larry; and a sister, Randa. He is survived by his children; his sister, Holly Burk; and his brothers, Ken Callan, Michael Chambers, and Ken Chambers.
The LORD gives and the LORD takes away; blessed be the name of the LORD. We give thanks to God our Father through Jesus Christ, our Lord, for our brother Danny Ellis Chambers.
A funeral service for Danny will be held Friday, March 3, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Cross Lutheran Church, 2171 Common St, New Braunfels, Texas 78130. Following the funeral service will be a burial service at 1:00 PM at Kingsbury Cemetery, 550 Prairie-Lea Rd, Kingsbury, TX.
