

She was born in New Braunfels, Texas on December 17, 1996. Her love, laughter, and passion for life touched all who met her throughout her short but memorable life. She never met a stranger, loved people, and was blessed with her father’s gift of gab. Courtney loved all animals great and small, continually bringing home any stray in need. Courtney was a sophomore to be at Waelder High School who excelled academically and participated in volleyball, basketball, track, and Waelder 4-H. She enjoyed playing the French horn, earning several Concert Regional Band awards. She worshiped at Waelder Methodist Church, and loved reading the epistle on Sundays. Courtney enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Courtney is survived by her loving parents Rudy and Deanna Orona of Waelder, Texas; two much admired and loved brothers, Cody Orona of Kings Point, New York and brother Clay Orona of Waelder, Texas; She is also survived by a beloved extended family, maternal grandparents Robert and Lela Dyson; paternal grandparents Hijinio and Senaida Orona; Uncle Mike (Dara) Dyson; Uncle Albert (Coty) Orona; Uncle Richard (Georgianna) Orona; cousins Aubrey and Wade Dyson and Cecilia Orona.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, August. 24, at Oakwood Baptist Church in New Braunfels, Texas, Glen Howe will officiate. Burial will be in the Lone Oak Cemetery in Geronimo, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Brumley, Mike Dyson, Robert Dyson, Albert Orona, Richard Orona, and Preston Tatum.
