Christine passed away April 12, 2024 peacefully at home in the presence of family. Christine was born March 2, 1937 to Christian and Anna Moeller on the small German island of Föhr and the oldest of 3 children. Her two brothers are Emil, wife Annemarie, and Gerd, wife Danuta. Her resilient spirit and hard work were forged early as the family lost their father near the end of World War II when she was only 6 years old. Her courage and strength were second to none as she immigrated to America at 18 going through Ellis Island in May of 1955 and married her husband Alfred in June of 1955. Alfred and Christine shared 43 years of marriage, raising 7 children, and a multitude of grandchildren and now great grandchildren!
Oma was preceded in death by her father Christian in 1945, her husband Alfred in 1998, and her mother Anna Moeller in 2009. Oma is survived by her seven children and grandchildren as follows, hang on, this will resemble the book of Numbers. Theodor Haeussler her first born son, Gerd Haeussler, wife Allison, Esther Blakely, Rebecca Pickelman, husband Michael, Deborah Titcombe, husband Paul, Judith Chantos, husband Andy, and Thomas Haeussler, wife Denise.

Foster children of Gerd and Allison; Jacee Harpool, Isla Harpool, Ever Harpool, Micah Harpool, and Luke Harpool.
Oma’s great grandchildren listed in birth order: Presley Blakely, Hazel Davis, Malachi Whittemore, Nehemiah Whittemore, Harvey Davis, Leo Davis, Joshua Whittemore, Steven Blakely, Hollis Pickelman, and baby Pickelman to be named later.
Oma’s niece and nephew listed in birth order: Kirsten Moeller, husband Michael Beeck, and nephew Henning Moeller.
Funeral service will be April 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church, 1250 Belvin St. San Marcos, Texas 78666 with Graveside service to follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park, 2951 S. State Highway 46, New Braunfels, TX 78130.
