Carlos Tamez

He is survived by his wife Martha Arecheja-Tamez; children, Fidel and wife Lucille Tamez, Genero and wife Tere Tamez, Carmen Gutierrez, Jean Tamez, Lois and husband Thomas Vasquez and Louisa and husband Reymundo Cantu; brothers, Abelardo Tamez and Ernesto Tamez; sisters, Margarita Tamez Hernandez and Carmen Tamez Rodriguez; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife Georgina of 65 years, parents and 1 great-grandchild.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 5-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2011, at the Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa Street, New Braunfels, Texas 78130. Interment will follow in the Fischer Cemetery, Fischer, Texas. Memorial contributions may be given to Hope Hospice or to the American Cancer Society. Pall-bearers are: Fidel Tamez, Genaro Tamez, Thomas Vasquez, Reymundo Cantu, Sam Tamez and Tom McIver.
