Brianna Maria Rodriguez, of New Braunfels, Texas, was tragically taken from us on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at the age of 18. Brianna was born to Juan Antonio Rodriguez and Kathy (Gomez) Rodriguez in New Braunfels on July 1, 1997.
Brianna’s life would seem too short, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her vibrant smile, outgoing personality and care for others brought so much joy to her family, friends and everyone who had the privilege of meeting her.
Brianna loved to make others laugh, often at her own expense. She had a gift for accepting people as they were and making them feel like they were special. Brianna touched so many people during her short life with her accepting nature. She lived life to the fullest and our lives will be duller without her natural sparkle.
Brianna was a graduate of Canyon High School where she was a Cheerleader her freshman and sophomore year and a member of the Aristocrats’ her junior and senior year. Brianna was also a member of the Girl Scouts for 10 years, and was an accomplished dancer of 10 years. She was a loving daughter, granddaughter and sister. Brianna was excited about her first job at Abel's Diner and was looking forward to starting college locally. Her family will forever mourn losing the ability to witness her future accomplishments and many lifelong dreams.
Brianna is survived by her parents, Juan and Kathy Rodriguez of New Braunfels; sister, Abigail Rodriguez; and brother, Juan (Logan) Rodriguez; paternal grandparents, Jose Rodriguez and Dolores Sosa of Pearsall Texas; maternal grandparents, Jose and Angie Gomez of New Braunfels; and numerous aunts, uncle, cousins and a host of friends.
