Brandon Kane Parrock passed away on July 21, 2018 at his home in New Braunfels. He was born in New Braunfels on April 25, 1984 to Marsha Dove and Ked Parrock. He graduated from New Braunfels High School in 2002 and worked for Valero Energy Corporation in San Antonio for his entire career.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ken and Peggy Parrock of Canyon Lake, maternal grandfather Helmuth Dreyer, and Uncle Duane Dreyer both of Marion.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Marsha and Michael Dove of New Braunfels and father Ked Parrock. Brothers Bryce Parrock of New Braunfels, Michael (Britlyn) Dove of San Antonio, Garrett Dove of Houston and Sister Katheryne (Justin) Pressley of Sandia. Oma Rena Dreyer of Marion, Uncle Kevin (Beth) Parrock of Nashville, Indiana, Aunt Leoma (Calvin) Steffen of Marion and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as many cherished friends and family.
At age 15, Brandon was diagnosed with Epilepsy. For the next twenty years of his life, he relentlessly pursued medical procedures to minimize his seizures. He even underwent deep brain surgery to place implants in his brain that would circumvent the quantity and severity of his seizures. Throughout all of his challenges, Brandon always remained positive and optimistic.
Brandon enjoyed spending time with his family and extended family and was always present at family functions. He enjoyed the hugs from his cousins that were like nieces and nephews to him. He always made time for the younger children and welcomed them with hugs.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved to spend time driving his ATV on the family farm in Marion. Brandon loved watching movies and could quote lines from many of his favorite shows. He truly enjoyed working in the mailroom at Valero Energy Corporation where he developed many extensive friendships.
Family and friends are welcome to attend his celebration of life on Friday, July 27, 2018 from
5:00-8:00 PM at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church in Marion. Interment will follow at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery in Marion.
