Brad Allen Barrier, age 54, of Seguin, Texas passed away peacefully with his wife and daughter by his side at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Brad was born May 10, 1968 in Missoula, Montana to Debbie Kay Nelson and George Edgar Barrier Jr. He graduated from High School in Williston, North Dakota. Brad then moved to Texas where he attended Southwest Texas State University where he earned his Bachelor’s and then Master’s Degree. He was a member of the Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
Brad met then married Kim Brittain Barrier and had two children. Taylor Michelle and Jordan Derek. He worked for Wellmed/United Healthcare for several years. Brad had a great love for many sports, but Hockey was his favorite. He played in a lot of leagues throughout his life.
Brad was preceded in death by his grandfather, George Barrier; grandmother, Gretchen Barrier; father, George Barrier Jr., and sister, Deneen Barrier Humphreys.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Brittain-Barrier; daughter, Taylor Barrier (Xavier); son, Jordan Hoffer (Jason); granddaughter, Cadaleya Vaillant, Aunt Josephine; cousins, Todd Martin (Meg) and Corby Martin (Monique); nephews, Christian Humphreys, Max Humphreys; in-laws, Gary and Pat Brittain; brother in law, Dusty Brittain (Cheri); nephew, Cody Brittain (Stephanie) and niece, Kasey Blue (Shawn). Brad is also survived by his mother, Debbie Goodspeed (Mitch); sister, Jill Thomason (Felix), and brothers, George Barrier III and Sonny Barrier and many great nieces, nephews and a lot of friends.
A Memorial Service for Brad will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home Sunday, April 16th at 1:30 pm. Officiated by Keevin Monroe.
