During her life, Beverlyn worked for various businesses in the community. Starting with Comal Hosiery in 1950, Airmaid Hosiery in 1956, and back to Comal Hosiery in 1966 where she worked until 1974 just short of the plant closing. She went on to work at Super X Drug Store until it's closing. She then worked at various places until she was hired at HEB in 1979 as a checker where she worked until her retirement from the store in 1999. She was very proud of her employment with HEB. Not being one to sit around the house, Beverlyn found a job working part-time in Gruene where she worked for a couple of years. She eventually went to work at the Dollar General store in the Landa Plaza where she worked until it burned down in 2008. Being a valued employee, Dollar General placed Beverlyn at the store on Highway 46 where she worked until 2013.
She joined St. Paul Lutheran Church in New Braunfels in 1952 where she was a very devout and loyal member until her passing. She was also an active member of the church choir.
In her younger years she loved 9 pin bowling and was a long time member of the Solms Bowling club and also bowled on several teams at the Freiheit Bowling Club.
In 1993, Beverlyn joined the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and was an active member going to many conventions and touring the state's many beautiful historical sites. She loved seeing the wildflowers of Texas and it's natural beauty.
Beverlyn was a very caring person, always remembering people with a card, a gift, a plate of cookies or just her time. She will be greatly missed.
