He was a brilliant, kind, and caring soul that lent a hand wherever he could to neighbors and strangers alike.
A man of many loves, Bill's greatest passion was music. He loved taking the time to introduce classic rock to the next generations. Some of his favorite bands included Led Zeppelin, STYX, REO Speedwagon, Def Lepard and of course Pink Floyd. "Wish You Were Here" was his favorite Pink Floyd song.
Every 4th of July, Bill was a kid again, putting on fireworks shows that lit up the night sky and sparkled over the water. With his girls by his side, they would spend weeks planning the style, size, and music for the big production.
Bill's father introduced him to the love of stamp collecting, which he passed on to his girls, showing world history through them. Bill would explain, "that country has a different name now," or " this one does not exist at all in modern times."
He loved the Ocean and his young family spent many countless hours playing in the shoreline, studying seashells and other aquatic life. His girls would hold the shells up to their daddy, full of questions. He was always quick to answer their questions, as he would show them how each creature grew in each shell.
Despite all his many different hobbies and loves, he loved his family the most, and the sorrow of his leaving will be felt by many throughout the coming years.
