Warren "W. J." James Foreman

W. J. was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He owned W. J. Foreman & Sons Construction for over 40 years. He proudly served our country in the Marine Corps and was a Korean War Veteran. He also served in the National Guard. He was a member of Spring Garden Baptist Church and was active for many years with NC Baptist Disaster Relief.

He is preceded in death by wife, Thelma Foreman, parents, Oscar and Florence Foreman, and brother, Richard Foreman.

W. J. is survived by two sons, Alvin Foreman and Michael Foreman (Sandi) of New Bern; two daughters, Dawn Edwards (Gerald) of New Bern and Rebecca Foreman of Kinston; three brothers, Ronnie Foreman, Frank Foreman, and Larry Dale Foreman all of Indiana; one sister, Ann Black of Indiana; and three grandchildren, Erica White of Ayden, Jennifer Byrd of New Bern, and Jarrett Foreman of Idaho. 

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 3, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Spring Garden Baptist Church followed by a committal service with Military Honors at Spring Garden Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to Spring Garden Baptist Church Youth Group, 650 Spring Garden Road, New Bern, NC 28562.
