Virginia’s family was her pride and joy. She showed her love by opening her home to everyone and preparing many a wholesome meal. Going to her house was a privilege because we would be welcomed and loved. She always put others’ needs before her own.
After she raised her children she spent several years as an in-home caregiver. She had a close group of friends who encouraged one another primarily by phone call.
The family wants to thank Nia Bailey and Kim Taylor for their tender care during her sickness.
The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Village Chapel Presbyterian Church. The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM at Village Chapel and a graveside service will he held immediately afterward at New Bern Memorial.
Memorials may be given to Village Chapel Presbyterian Church, Craven County Hospice, or a charity of choice
