Tristan Gilbert Velez-Stewart, 15 of New Bern, passed away on Sunday, December 7th, 2014.
Tristan was born December 27, 1998, in Beaufort, SC and was a resident of New Bern, NC. Tristan attended Craven Early College and was enrolled as a sophomore.
He is survived by his mother and step-Father, Sophy and DeMark Stewart Sr; and his biological father Felix Velez; his brothers Matthew and Joshua Velez-Stewart and DeMark Stewart Jr.; his sister Brooklyn Stewart; and his grandparents Maria Guerrero of New Bern; Beverly and Alvin Breedon of Durham; and Mark Alston of Durham; and many family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 12th, 2014 at 6:00 pm at Cotten Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 5pm.
