Steven Marc Schulz

Steven was born in Newark, NJ. on September 1, 1955. He graduated from Irvington High School and began his career as a Police Officer at the age of 19. He was married to Verna Kelderman on October 1, 1982 and they were married for 30 years. Steven retired from the Irvington, NJ. police force in 2005 after 25 years of loyal and faithful service. He was a former member of the Jacksonville Chapter of Rolling Thunder. He was preceded in death by his father Harold, his mother, Essie and his step-mother, Beatrice.

He is survived by his wife, Verna, his brother, Peter and his sisters, Leslie and Maxine, eight nieces and four nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, April 26, 2013 at The National Cemetery in New Bern. A memorial service will follow the burial at Temple B’Nai Sholem in New Bern.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project c/o the Jacksonville NC Chapter of Rolling Thunder.
