Steven Michael Centore

For 4 years, Steve faithfully served the US Navy aboard the fast attack submarines USS Seahorse and the USS Sunfish as a nuclear reactor operator. Following the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Centers, Steve was a first responder serving as team lead for the Radiological Rapid Response team for the Department of Energy. His sacrifice for his country and duty to others was in keeping with the highest traditions of honor, courage and commitment.

He is survived by his sons, Charles, Court and Steven Centore and a step-son, James Pappas, one daughter, Christina Yuknis, four sisters, Debbie Bayliss, Terri Centore, Cherie Twist and Melissa Bell-Garofolo. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Dante, Jaxon, Asher, Brielle, Charley and Finndric.

His service will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Cotten Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:30-12:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.
