Shirley Margaret Potter

She was born in Utica, NY and has resided in the states of Virginia, Florida, Massachusetts, New York and North Carolina. She will be remembered for her sweet spirit and beautiful smile.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church with Pastor Ted Rust officiating.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Nelson and husband Larry of New Bern; her brother, Thomas Abrials of Williamsburg, Va.; niece and nephews, Tara Rivenburg, Thomas Abrials and Mark Abrials, all of Virginia.

She will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Walter in Prospect Cemetery, Prospect, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Home Care & Hospice, 1423 S. Glenburnie Road, New Bern, NC 28560 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
