Sherry Langston Mitchell

COVE CITY | Sherry Langston Mitchell, 56, of Cove City, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017.

She was a member of Core Creek FWB Church, an assistant librarian at Cove City Library, and a former volunteer EMT at Cove City Fire and Rescue Squad.

She is survived by her husband Dred C. Mitchell, Jr; father Marvin R. Langston (Patsy B.) of Rocky Mount and mother Sylvia B. Hughes (Ryland) of Kitty Hawk; son Dred C. Mitchell, III of New Bern; daughter Catherine Mitchell of Cove City; brother Marvin Ray Langston of Rocky Mount and step-brother Tim Jernigan (Terry) of Rocky Mount; sisters Brenda Carol Langston of Florida and Amy Langston Moade (James) of Cary; nieces and nephews Peyton, Palmer, Pierson Moade, Alissa and Cierra Jernigan, Justin Nichols and Carly Rosencrantz; and special friends John, Kellie, Stephen and Leslie Hawkins, and Donald and Sherry Riggs.

Funeral service will be at 2 pm at Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Core Creek FWB Church. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Cove City Cemetery.
