Roy Lee Holt

Roy “R.L.” Holt, 66, of New Bern, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. He enjoyed reading his Bible, praying for the lost, and sharing the love of Jesus with everyone he came in contact with. For him, every day was like Christmas and he loved spending time with his family and enjoying God’s creation.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at River Bend Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Simpson officiating.

Roy is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Kathie Holt; three daughters, Secrette Angel Prier (Danny), Marie Eloise Holt (Chris), and Misty “Turtle” Holt; two sons, Ronnie Huffman and Joseph Huffman (Charidy); one sister, Rhonda “Rag” Booth (Junior); grandchildren, Sandy Beach, Eric, G.G., Squirrel, Peaches, Little Bit, Autumn, Hurricane, Tornado, Candy Man, Spunky, Champ, Chipmunk, B.K., Scooter, Tumbleweed, and Sparkles; and six great grandchildren.
