Rose "Alice" French Barrington

She was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star and she was a Guide at Tryon Palace. She was also a Gray Lady at CarolinaEast Medical Center. Alice loved her family, children and grandchildren. In her free time she was always in the kitchen feeding her family and baking cakes. Everyone knew her for her sweet smile.

Alice is survived by her son, Leonard T. Barrington, Jr. of Morehead City, one daughter, Penny Barrington of New Bern, one sister, Jean Thomas of Siler City, her grandchildren, Lisa Shaw, Melissa Shine, Christina Raju, Zachary Gupton, Caroline Farris, and her great-grandchildren, Emma, Ethan, Isabella, Olivia, Jeremy, Gabe, Luke, Logan, Greyson and Kendall.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard "Bugs" Theodore Barrington and a daughter, Deborah Hodges.

Her memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Cotten Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
